RUFUS - Today Governor Lynn Rodgers signed Executive 045.210 and 045.215 which extended the tax filing deadline until May and directed the State Secretary Of State to begin preparing for the extended opening to Tax Day 2024. The extension will allow tax filers to wait until May to file their taxes, but the state tax office says they encourage filers to file their taxes and make payments before May 1, 2025, because payers will be considered delinquent if their payments don't clear that day.
